Soo Bahk Do Moo Duk Kwan is a Korean traditional martial art. Its principles and philosophies have been around since the first humans on the earth. We practice empty-handed self-defense. We practice discipline, self- control, humility, honesty, and reverence for nature. We take these ideals to our communities, cities, towns and neighborhoods. We are a brotherhood; we participate in clinics, events, and camps to build friendships that can last a lifetime. We
help one another learn. Beginners have as much and even more to give
than even the most senior student. We enjoy what we do because of
the personal benefits we gain--physical conditioning, self-discipline
and respect. Come by our school any time to speak with Sa Bom Nim
Tracy Phillips about taking the first step on a lifetime journey of
learning and fun. |

Local children honor elders with display of skills
as reported by the Tipp City Independent Voice |
| On Saturday, February 11th, members of the Miami Valley Soo Bahk Do, instructed by Tracy Phillips, visited the residents of SpringMeade Nursing Home. The students demonstrated various aspects of their martial art, Soo Bahk Do Moo Duk Kwan. Students also presented SpringMeade with approximately 100 homemade Valentine’s Day placemats, which they had created at the studio’s recent “Family Fun Night”. The studio decided upon this activity to demonstrate the belief of serving our fellow man and respecting one’s elders, which are two of the core values of Soo Bahk Do Moo Duk Kwan. Miami Valley Soo Bahk Do is located at 101 W. Franklin St. in Troy and has been providing martial arts self defense instruction to all ages since 1992. |
